A little about me:
My PhD investigated the construct validity of the use signal detection theory measures to investigate nociception and pain perception. This led me to develop an interest in psychophysics applied to health-related issues. Currently, I’m busy with projects involving 1) evaluating factors influencing the effectiveness of exercise programmes in cancer patients (with Dr. Cathy Bulley), 2) looking at the impact of treatment and the prevalence of morbidities experienced by breast cancer survivors, and 3) elucidating the factors influencing the credibility of sham acupuncture techniques and participants’ decision-making processesĀ in placebo conditions (with Dr. Derek Santos).

In my spare time, I indulge in listening to violin jazz/blues, watching as much Star Trek as time affords and reading about Science & Theology.
